Welcome!

I am a postdoctoral scholar at East Carolina University working with Rebecca Asch on an NSF-funded project looking at larval fish phenology along the west coast of North America. I obtained my PhD from the University of California, Santa Cruz under the guidance of Rita Mehta and Tim Tinker. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Miami in 2015.

In both my professional life and personal advocacy work, I'm interested in the dispersal and movement of animals -- including tiny larval fish, eels, birds, or people (in the form of safe active mobility). I am also passionate about computer science, and hope to bridge the gap between ecology and computer science through computational modeling, bioinformatics, and novel technologies.

In my spare time, I love to bike, go geocaching, create art (see my Art page!), play board games, and swing/blues dance.
